Understanding Status in OR Readiness
OR Readiness gives you a real-time picture of where each vendor supported case stands from a tray perspective. Instead of digging into individual cases, you can scan the list and immediately see which cases are ready for the OR, which are still waiting on trays, and which need your attention, all in one place.
The OR Readiness page shows all vendor supported cases, grouped by where they stand from a tray readiness perspective. At the top of the OR Readiness page, you'll see filter tabs for each status group. You can select and deselect these filters to show or hide cases with that status.
Status Definitions
Case Statuses
- Trays Not On-Site (red)
At least one tray for this case has not yet arrived at the facility. These cases require follow-up with the vendor rep to confirm when trays will be delivered - Trays Processing (dark gray)
All trays have arrived and are moving through sterile processing - Trays Ready (green)
All trays for this case are sterilized and ready for surgery. No further action is needed - Consigned Trays (white)
The vendor rep has confirmed that no loaner trays are needed for this case, but consigned trays are required. Casechek does not track sterile processing status for consigned trays - Cases Without Trays The case has an invited vendor rep, but no trays were added. The rep may be bringing other items such as disposables or bone and tissue, or may be needed for on-site coverage only
Tray Processing Stages
Individual trays within the case may be at different stages. The tray counter on the right side of the case card shows how many trays are at each processing stage:
- Checked In (yellow)
- Decontamination (gold)
- Cleaned (blue)
- Sterilized (green)
If a case shows a warning that some reps are pending or rejected, the vendor coordination for this case may still need attention.
If a case includes trays from multiple vendors, the case is not fully ready until all required trays for the case across all of the vendors are ready.
